A citizen of Georgia living abroad, who has received a passport in Georgia with biometric data, is entitled to use the online service of the Services Development Agency by filling out an electronic application on the website of the State Services Development Agency http://sda.gov.ge/?page_id=4118. In case of using the mentioned service, the passport will be produced within 2 working days.
A citizen of Georgia living abroad, who has received a passport of a citizen of Georgia with biometric data at least once, is entitled to receive a biometric passport of a citizen of Georgia through a proxy, on the basis of a notarized power of attorney. With this service, the passport can be produced on the 10th working day and on the 5th working day.
A Georgian citizen living abroad, who has not received a passport containing biometric data in Georgia, must personally apply to the diplomatic mission or consular institution of Georgia abroad. Biometric passport will be issued within 45 calendar days if the application is submitted to the diplomatic mission or consular institution of Georgia.
